Duckie: Visual Timer for Kids Privacy Policy

Duckie is designed for families and children.

Last updated: April 14, 2026 Stored locally on device

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data on our servers. We do not require account registration, and we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or location data.

Data used by the app is stored locally on the device, such as:

  • timer and routine settings
  • app preferences, for example theme, sound, and kid mode
  • sticker and clock face preferences
  • optional custom clock-face image selected by the user

2. Photo Access (Custom Clock Face)

If the user chooses to add a custom clock-face image, Duckie requests access to the photo library only after user action.

Selected photos are processed and stored locally on the device, and are not uploaded to our servers.

3. How Data Is Used

Local data is used only to provide core app features, including:

  • visual timer and routines
  • reminders and app behavior preferences
  • restoring the user's in-app experience on the same device

We do not use personal data for advertising, profiling, or behavioral tracking.

4. Third-Party Services and Purchases

Duckie does not include third-party ads or third-party tracking SDKs.

Duckie offers optional one-time in-app purchases handled by Apple's StoreKit. Payment processing is performed by Apple, not by Duckie.

"Restore Purchases" uses Apple's purchase system for the same Apple ID.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing.

Because data is stored locally, we do not transmit user personal data to external servers.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

App data remains on the device unless the user deletes or replaces it in-app.

Removing the app from the device deletes app data stored in the app container, subject to iOS system behavior and backup settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Duckie is intended for children and families.

We do not knowingly collect children's personal information on servers.

No account creation or social sharing is required to use core features.

8. Your Choices

  • deny photo access, in which case the custom photo feature will be unavailable
  • manage permissions anytime in iOS Settings
  • remove app data by deleting or replacing content in-app, or by uninstalling the app

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date.
